Amrit Purshotam

Hi, my name is Amrit and I build, ship, and write about my experiences working in RecSys. I’m currently a Machine Learning Scientist at Booking.com working on RecSys where I’ve helped drive millions in incremental revenue. Previously, I was a Machine Learning Engineer at takealot.com where I worked on food delivery optimisation and a Data Scientist at Discovery / Vitality where I worked on health and fitness applications.

Outside of work, I’ve co-written practicals on RecSys for the Deep Learning Indaba and also helped build out core functionality in Baobab, their applicant tracking and review system.
